Books the boats, the ski shuttles, the Rob Roy transfer, a table somewhere else in town when ours is full, and a taxi at four in the morning for the Queenstown flight. 7am to 9pm, and the front desk covers it outside those hours.
From Queenstown, the Crown Range is 70 km and one hour ten — the highest sealed road in New Zealand at 1,076 m, closed perhaps four days a winter, and worth it in daylight. Via Cromwell it is 116 km and one hour thirty-five, and it is the road to take at night or in weather.
From Christchurch, 425 km and five hours twenty through the Lindis Pass. From Dunedin, 275 km and three hours twenty.
We are on Frankton Road, 600 m east of the Gorge Road roundabout on the lake side, and the gate is the one with the stone wall. 48 parking spaces behind the building, free to guests, and two charge points on the north wall.
Tāhuna Airport is 11 km east, twelve minutes. Queenstown Airport is 68 km, one hour ten over the Crown Range or one hour thirty-five via Cromwell. Tell us the flight number and the concierge will meet it; we charge NZ$180 for the Queenstown run, one to four people, which is less than two taxis and more reliable than one.
The town centre is 2.6 km, seven minutes by car or half an hour on foot along the water. The Frankton Track runs flat past our gate: the Gardens in twenty-five minutes, the marina in twenty the other way, and Frankton village in fifty.
