Cookie Policy
Three things are stored because the site cannot work without them. Everything else is off until you switch it on, and you can change your mind from the footer of any page.

The short version
This website sets three things in your browser without asking, because it cannot work otherwise: a session identifier, a record of whether you confirmed you are 20 or over, and a record of the cookie choice you made. Everything else is off unless you switch it on, and you can change your mind at any time using the cookie settings link at the bottom of every page.
There is no advertising network on this site. There are no social media pixels, no session recording, and no third-party tag manager.
What a cookie is
A small text file, or an equivalent entry in your browser's local storage, that a website asks your browser to keep. It lets the site recognise the same browser between one page and the next. Cookies cannot read files on your computer and cannot carry a virus.
Strictly necessary — always on
- wh_age_20plus
- Records that you confirmed you are 20 years of age or older, so that the age gate does not appear on every page. Stored in local storage on your device. Kept until you clear your browser data. This one is required by our obligations under the Gambling Act 2003.
- wh_cookie_consent
- Records which categories of cookie you accepted, so we do not ask again on every visit. Stored in local storage. Kept for 12 months.
- Session cookie
- Set by our web server, allows the site to serve pages correctly and protects the enquiry form against abuse. Expires when you close the browser.
Analytics — off unless you accept
- Page counts
- If you accept analytics, we count which pages are viewed and how people move between them, in aggregate. We do not record your IP address in full, we do not build a profile, and we do not pass any of it to an advertiser. Kept for 14 months. Used for one purpose: knowing which parts of this site are worth keeping.
Marketing — off unless you accept
- Campaign measurement
- If you accept marketing cookies, and only then, we may measure whether a visit followed one of our advertisements so we know whether the advertisement was worth paying for. This category is off by default. We do not use it to advertise gambling, and we do not advertise to anyone identified as under 20.
Changing your mind
Use the cookie settings link in the footer of any page. The bar will reopen with your current choices shown, and you can accept all, reject all, or set each category individually. A change takes effect immediately.
You can also control cookies in your browser. Every current browser lets you block or delete them — look for Privacy in the settings. Blocking the strictly necessary items will make the age gate appear on every page and may stop the enquiry form from submitting.
Do Not Track
We do not set analytics or marketing cookies unless you have accepted them, so a Do Not Track signal from your browser changes nothing about how this site behaves. It is already off.
